25 artists will perform on 3 stages at 2 adjacent outdoor venues

PHILADELPHIA (SEPTEMBER 8, 2021): The performance times for artists who will perform at the 2021 XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru taking place Friday, September 17 through Sunday, September 19 were announced today by member-supported, non-commercial Philadelphia radio station WXPN 88.5 FM, which produces the annual three-day outdoor music festival.

FESTIVAL LOCATION & TICKETS The XPoNential Music Festival will take place at Wiggins Park and the adjacent BB&T Pavilion, both located on the Delaware Riverfront in Camden, New Jersey, directly across the river from Philadelphia. Tickets and all festival information are available at the festival’s website xpnfest.org.

FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS With the 2020 XPoNential Music Festival reduced in scope and moved online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, anticipation has been building for the 2021 XPoNential Music Festival, WXPN’s signature annual concert event that draws audiences from throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, Mid-Atlantic region, and Northeastern US. Previously held during July, this year’s event will be the festival’s first-ever September presentation.

Produced in partnership with the Camden County Board of Commissioners, the 2021 XPoNential Music Festival will feature 25 artists performing on three stages at two outdoor venues, free beverages and other perks for WXPN members, and adoptable rescue dogs hosted by presenting sponsor Subaru.

The family-friendly festival is known for convenient access via public transportation, natural amphitheaters that produce great sound, and extensive food, drink, and vendor selections. Seating and riverfront promenades offer spectacular views of the Delaware River and Philadelphia skyline.

Families will be able to access the Camden Children's Garden as part of their festival enjoyment of Wiggins Park on Saturday, September 18 and Sunday, September 19.

FESTIVAL ARTISTS As it has done for more than 25 years, the XPoNential Music Festival will showcase multiple music genres and the expertly-curated mix of established and new artists enjoyed by WXPN members and listeners. Familiar artists including Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, Los Lobos, Ani DiFranco and Dawes will be joined by such talked-about up-and-comers as Sofia Valdes, Jade Bird, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Sierra Ferrell and Michaela Anne. Haitian-American musician Paul Beaubrun and Haitian music collective Lakou Mizik will perform as part of WXPN’s year-long project Kanaval: Haitian Rhythms and the Music of New Orleans.

Many attendees will be excited to welcome artists they've enjoyed from previous XPoNential Music Festivals, including Los Lobos, Strand Of Oaks, Dawes, Nicole Atkins, Adia Victoria, Devon Gilfillian and The Record Company.

The festival will also highlight the Philadelphia area’s rich local music scene, with sets from Hoochie Coochi, Anna Shoemaker, Arthur Thomas and the Funkitorium, Stella Ruze, Great Time, and Tommy Conwell and the Young Rumblers. Just added: The brass band Snacktime Philly will present pop-up performances on Sunday, Sept. 19 throughout the Wiggins Park grounds.
