PHILADELPHIA - Today, WXPN, the nationally-recognized leader in Triple A (Adult Album Alternative) music and noncommercial radio service of the University of Pennsylvania, kicks off its much-anticipated 2013 XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru.

The three-day XPoNential Music Festival features an exciting lineup of 30-plus artists performing on four stages in two venues on the Camden, NJ waterfront: Wiggins Park, at Mickle Boulevard & Delaware River and Susquehanna Bank Center (SBC), located at 1 Harbour Blvd. It will take place rain or shine with gates opening today at 5 PM. PHILADELPHIAKids Corner, WXPN’s award-winning call-in radio show for kids, invites families and young festival goers who will be attending the upcoming 2013 XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru, taking place July 26 through July 28 on the Camden, NJ waterfront, to join in celebrating its 25th anniversary by visiting the Festival’s popular Kids Corner area in the Camden Children’s Garden, adjacent to Wiggins Park in Camden, NJ, on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28 from 12 pm to 5 pm to enjoy special activities and guests.

At the Kids Corner 25th anniversary tent, kids will have the chance to meet program host Kathy O’Connell and some of their favorite Kids Corner on-air guests. Joining the celebration will be members of Rock To The Future, the Philadelphia program that sponsors music education for city youth at no cost to their families.

PHILADELPHIA - The seventh edition of WXPN-FM’s quarterlySense of Place series is all about the musical hotbed of Brazil, and features interviews and performances recorded there exclusively for four, two-hour special World Cafe® programs airing Tuesday, July 16 through Friday, July 19. In addition to Sense of Place: Brazil, music and interviews from two Argentinean artists will also be featured during Latin Roots on World Cafe airing on July 11 and July 25.
